How Milo Discovered His Love for Butterflies

Back in 2019, Milo was out on a hike during a massive butterfly migration. This was a special year, as an extra wet winter in California had created perfect conditions for butterflies to thrive in large numbers.

During this hike, Milo's owner Jen noticed something unique about her dog. While many dogs might chase or bark at flying creatures, Milo was different. He showed both deep interest in the butterflies and amazing gentleness around them. He seemed to understand these delicate creatures needed special care.

Creating a Butterfly Sanctuary
