The Unlikely Rescue

In 2018, a Virginia man named Ryan spotted an advertisement that would change his life. The ad was for a calf located about three hours from his home. This wasn't just any calf—she was born on a dairy farm but was infertile, meaning she would never produce milk.

As a devoted animal lover, Ryan saw a chance to give this little cow a good home. He drove the long distance to pick up the baby cow, who weighed only about 60 pounds at the time. Ryan named her Jenna after the dairy farmer's daughter who had insisted the calf go to a loving home.

Growing Up as a '1,000-Pound Puppy'

As Jenna grew, Ryan shared their special bond on social media through his page, Life with Pigs Farm Sanctuary. In his posts, he often called Jenna his "1,000-pound puppy" and showed the world just how smart and loving she was.

Ryan's videos highlighted something many people don't realize about cows—they can be incredibly affectionate and form deep bonds with humans. Jenna was living proof of this, showing her playful and loving nature in every update Ryan shared.

Jenna the Matchmaker

Little did Ryan know that his rescue cow would soon help him find love. Among the many followers of Ryan's Facebook page was Mallory, another animal lover who had become invested in the heartwarming friendship between Ryan and Jenna.

In 2021, Ryan and Mallory celebrated their love with a wedding that perfectly reflected their values. Jenna served as the "best cow" at the ceremony, standing proudly alongside the couple who loved her.
