In the middle of a grueling 155-mile race across the Chinese Gobi Desert, something unexpected happened. A small stray dog picked one runner out from the crowd and started running alongside him. This wasn't just a brief hello - the dog stayed with him for an amazing 77 miles of the ultramarathon.

A Deep Connection Forms

After covering 25 miles together, the runner, Dion, named his new friend Gobi. They shared more than just the trail - Dion began giving Gobi his food and water. The Journey Home

Not taking any more chances, Dion decided to stay in Beijing for the entire four-month quarantine period required before Gobi could travel. Finally, when all requirements were met, he brought her home to the UK.
